Man & Teens Charged in Old Fruithill Road Burglary

A burglary in progress call on Old Fruithill Road in Christian County Friday evening led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man and two runaway juveniles.

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the residence in the 12,000 block shortly before 6:30 p.m. and made contact with 25-year old Carl Tehada, who was standing inside the front door of the residence.

Tehada was detained by deputies and stated there were two other people inside the residence but he didn’t know where they went. Deputies say a K-9 unit was called to the home to locate the other two subjects, who were found hiding in two separate freezers. The two subjects were determined to be runaway juveniles reported out of Jefferson County.

Tehada and the juveniles, ages 15 and 16, were charged with 2nd Degree Burglary. Tehada, who was lodged in the Christian County Jail, was additionally charged with 3rd Degree Unlawful Transaction with a Minor.

The police report does not say where the runaway teens are being detained.
