Officials have released the name of a Benton woman killed in a single-vehicle crash in Marshall County last week. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says the Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 35-year old Stephanie Colson.
The sheriff’s office reported a deputy responded to US 68 at Marvel Road Thursday for a vehicle that had crashed and was on fire. According to the deputy’s report, Colson was westbound on US 68 when her vehicle ran off the shoulder of the road and hit a sign post. The vehicle then crossed Marvel Road and struck another sign and two trees.
The Marshall County Coroner’s Office pronounced Colson dead at the scene.
