Tennessee Educator Named Hopkinsville High School Principal

A Tennessee educator will be the next Hopkinsville High School Principal.  The school’s site-based decision making council selected Dr. John W. Gunn to lead the school.

Dr. Gunn comes to Hopkinsville High School with 33 years of experience in North Carolina and Tennessee.  Gunn is currently the Associate Director of Schools for Lawrence County Public Schools in Lawrenceburg, TN.

Christian County Schools Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmil welcomed Dr. Gunn.  She said Dr. Gunn brings a knowledge base and experience as a sound decision maker to the position.  Gemmill added she looks forward to having Dr. Gunn as a part of the district’s leadership team.

Dr. Gunn says he looks forward to working with the teachers, students and parents to continue the tradition of excellence that Hopkinsville High School is known for.

Gunn will begin his duties at Hopkinsville High School July 1.
