Christian County is among the latest to be named a Kentucky Work Ready Community. Governor Matt Bevin made the official announcement Wednesday morning.
Christian County Chamber President Kelly Pendleton said the designation will mean quite a bit for the community.

The Kentucky Work Ready Communities certification program from the Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board and the Kentucky Education Workforce Development Cabinet assures employers that a local workforce has the talent and skills needed to staff existing jobs and to master the innovative technologies new jobs will require.Currently, 92 counties are certified as Work Ready Communities or Work Ready Communities in Progress.
