The Trigg County School District will get a slight increase in SEEK funding.

During Thursday night’s board meeting, Director of Student Services and Personnel James Mangels informed board members the SEEK funding increased by $19.

As far as staffing allocations, Mangels says there will not be any staffing changes at the primary, intermediate and middle schools, and there will be a decrease of one certified teacher at the high school due to a decrease of ten students. Board members unanimously approved the staffing allocations.

Board members also approved the Trigg Tot fees for Fiscal Year 2019, which Mangels says includes a $5.00 increase in the registration fee.

Board members also approved Superintendent Travis Hamby’s recommendation to continue the pilot phase of the Student Directed Senior Experience for the 2018-19 school year, increasing the number of students from six to twelve.

In other action, board members approved the student accident insurance renewal with K&K Insurance for more than $69,000 for 2018; and, a renewal of general, liability, fleet, property, earthquake, and errors and omissions insurance and umbrella coverage insurance for the 2018-19 school year with Wright Specialty Insurance for $118,431.
