The high standard of quality area stage performances will be missed after a critical man behind the scenes passed away this week. Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Little River Stage Productions Owner Butch Hardison.

While many did not see Butch on the stage or in the limelight, they have enjoyed the fruits of his labor. As the owner of Little River Stage Productions Butch provided sound, lighting and other special effects at many performances at the Western Kentucky State Fair, the Bruce Convention Center, the Alhambra Theater, the Hopkinsville Summer Salute Festival and many other events around the area.

Butch was the man behind almost every Brice Long Back to Back concerts. Butch also ran sound and lights for a number of Campanile Production performances, the “Live at the Alhambra” series, Brooke Bailey Dance recitals and many other events.

One thing you could always count on was, if Butch was behind the controls there was nothing to worry about.

While we lost a great behind the scenes man in the area, I’m sure Butch is working the sound and lights for a much bigger show now. Rest In Peace, Butch, you will be missed.
