Mayor Recommends New City Administrative Officer

Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks announced Thursday that he is recommending Troy Body to become Hopkinsville’s next City Administrative Officer. Body is a native of Harlan County, Kentucky and holds a Master’s degree in political science from Marshall University and a Bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Kentucky.

Mayor Hendricks states in a release he’s excited to recommend Body as the next CAO. He adds that Body’s experience with city, state, and federal government will provide him with a unique set of skills and experience that they believe will help the community grow and move forward, and they look forward to his enthusiasm, energy, and experience. Hendricks went on to thank the members that helped in the City’s search process including Council members Wendell Lynch, Amy Craig, and Tom Johnson. He adds that he looks forward to City Council’s appointment of Body as the next City Administrative Officer.

Mayor Hendricks is recommending a that Body begin at a salary of $92,620. If approved by City Council during Tuesday night’s meeting, Body will being his duties with the City May 14.
