Holiday Inn Breaks Ground At Convention Center

The ground was broken Monday at the site of a future Holiday Inn at the James E. Bruce Convention Center. The addition of the hotel further advances the development of the center’s complex, according to Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks.

He says the project is part and parcel of the WINS initiative’s focus on public reinvestment.

Holiday Inn representative Jeff Anderson thanked Darrell Gustafson and convention staff for their patience and persistence over the last year. He adds they will do their best to attract additional investment and growth.

The addition is financed by Planters Bank and is expected to create up to 30 new jobs.
