All seats on the Cadiz City Council will once again be filled following Monday morning’s swearing in of Dan Thompson. Thompson replaces former Councilmember Kyle Cunningham, who resigned April 3.

Thompson, a former water commissioner, was read the oath of office by Mayor Todd King in the council chambers and affirmed his support for the constitutions of the United States and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was appointed by King and approved by the city council during a special called meeting April 10.

Thompson will finish out Cunningham’s term that expires at the end of the year. King previously said Thompson does not intend to run once the term is finished.
