The first Bluegrass in the Park event held at West Cadiz Park Saturday is being deemed a success.
Lakeland Jamboree owner Ray Wyatt, who helped organized the event, says a good crowd showed up for the event that featured bluegrass music and several foods, arts and crafts, and other vendors.

Wyatt says the committee that organizes the Bluegrass and Arts Festival and Summer Music and Food Festival were instrumental with the Bluegrass in the Park event.

He notes they hope to make the Bluegrass in the Park an annual event at West Cadiz Park.
The event was sponsored by the Cadiz-Trigg County Tourism Commission.
