Clarksville Police Investigating Attempted Abduction Of 2 Girls

investigation-2

Clarksville Police are investigating the attempted abduction of two young girls Saturday.

Public Information Officer Lieutenant Steve Warren says the investigation began shortly after noon Saturday when a seven-year old girl and nine-year old girl stated the suspect, described as a tanned white male driving a light brown truck and armed with a black handgun, stopped beside them on Wakefield Drive and asked them personal questions. He then reportedly tried to grab one of the girls, but released the child when she began screaming for help. The suspect sped away, and turned onto West Mor Drive. Lt. Warren indicates neither child was injured.

According to Lt. Warren, other witnesses saw the suspect’s vehicle, which was described as a light brown pickup truck with a matching shell camper than is the same height as the cab. The truck had a Titans football emblem on the back window of the camper, as well as some sort of eagle emblem or sticker.

Anyone with information about this suspect or the vehicle is asked to dial 911.
