Hopkinsville Police are investigating a two vehicle wreck involving a stolen car that occurred Saturday morning on Hawthorne Drive. Police say the crash occurred around 5:10 in the 700 block when 25-year old Alashawn Davis stated to officers she had stopped her pickup truck when she saw a car coming at her on the wrong side of Hawthorne Drive at a high rate of speed. She reported the car then collided with the left front bumper of her truck. Police say the unknown suspect driving the stolen car then fled the scene after the crash.
Davis was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
Police report the 1994 4-door Chevrolet Caprice was stolen from Demarco Garland of 1409 Honeysuckle Drive.
