UPDATE – Pembroke Juvenile Charged With Todd Threat

State Police have released a few more details regarding a juvenile charged in connection to alleged threats made toward Todd County Central High School. Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville reports they received a complaint from the Elkton Police Department Monday regarding the threat. A preliminary investigation revealed a 16-year old male made threats to both shoot and bomb the high school.

State Police interviewed multiple juveniles regarding the threat. They say it was determined the 16 year old male used social media to make threats toward another juvenile and toward the Todd County Central High School.

The trooper made contact with the juvenile in Pembroke and conducted an interview in the early morning hours of Tuesday. Police say the male admitted to saying he was going to shoot another male juvenile and went on to state he did make threats to bomb Todd County Central High School. The juvenile then stated he was only joking when he made the threats.

While on the scene, the trooper also determined the juvenile was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The juvenile was taken into custody and lodged in the McCracken Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Paducah. He is charged with 2nd Degree Terroristic Threatening, 3rd Degree Terroristic Threatening, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The Elkton and Guthrie Police Departments, along with the Todd County Sheriff’s Department, and the Christian County Court Designated Worker’s Office assisted state police in the investigation.
