With the question of how to address the state’s pension crises weighing on the Kentucky General Assembly, State Sen. Stan Humphries is reminding consituents that Governor Matt Bevin’s proposal is just that–a proposal. Humphries told the News Edge on Saturday that his chamber intends to wrestle with proposed budget cuts to that effect when the time comes.

Another bill dealing with the licensing of electricians is also on the legislative radar, according to Humphries. He credited his fellow Republican, Sen. Whitney Westerfield, with putting it to the floor and adds he is pleased it made it out of the Senate with approval.
