First District Congressman James Comer says he doesn’t want a paycheck until the government shutdown ends. During an update posted Sunday afternoon, Congressman Comer says he is extremely disappointed with yet another shutdown.
Comer notes not only does the shutdown affect government services, it impacts children.
He says he sent a letter Saturday to the Chief Administrative Officer instructing that his pay be withheld.
Congressman Comer says he and fellow members of the House of Representatives are prepared to vote on any compromise bill that might be passed by the United States Senate.
