THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE RELAY FOR LIFE OF TRIGG COUNTY RANKED NUMBER 9 IN THE NATION FOR THEIR POPULATION SIZE, NATIONALLY IN MONEY RAISED PER CAPITA, NUMBER 3 IN THE STATE OF KENTUCKY, AND NUMBER 5 IN THE MID-SOUTH DIVISION. THE RANKINGS WERE BASED ON RELAY FOR LIFE EVENTS ACROSS THE NATION WITH POPULATIONS RANGING FROM 10,000-15,000.

THE RELAY FOR LIFE IN TRIGG COUNTY WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, MAY 14, AND SATURDAY, MAY 15, 2010, BEGINNING AT 4 PM ON FRIDAY AND CONCLUDING ON SATURDAY AT NOON AT TRIGG COUNTY ATHLETIC FIELD.

Kirby Family and Friends Relay Team in Trigg County is selling balloons that you can attach "In Honor of," or "In Memory of," to a loved one who has had or does have cancer. The Blue Springs Bunch Relay for Life Team members are now taking orders for Grants' burgoo to be cooked Saturday, March 27 - please order by March 25. Price $25 per gallon, or $7 per quart, and orders may be picked up at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church on Blue Spring Road at 1 PM or delivery can be arranged. 5:30 - 6:30 - "Zumba" (dance exercise) will be held at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Cadiz every Tuesday. Class cost is $5, however, for the month of March a portion of the proceeds will go towards Relay for Life. For more information, contact Amy at 498-0150. Your first class will be at no charge.

Little River Baptist Church Relay for Life presents the Music City Boys. The church is located at 15256 Lonnie Walker Highway in Herndon. Dinner starts at 4:30, Singing starts at 6 PM. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
March 15, Monday
The Relay for Life Team Captains meeting for March will be held at the Cadiz Christian Church, downtown Cadiz. All team captains are encouraged to attend or send a representative. Team members are also always welcome.
March 27, Saturday
2010 Sportsmen's Edge Team Charity Fishing Tournament on Kentucky Lake to benefit the American Cancer Society. Entry is $150 per team with a guaranteed first place prize of $3000. For additional information, contact The Sportmen's Edge in Paducah, or call 442-1120.
