Scott Brown handles most of the sports duties for Ham Broadcasting. In addition to providing daily sports news on this blog, he broadcasts high school football, basketball and baseball games on WKDZ and WHVO. He also hosts the Saturday Morning Sports Report on WKDZ - one of the few local sports programs in the area. Bennett Stepping Down At Mid-Continent

Former UK basketball player Winston Bennett is stepping down as the head basketball coach at Mid-Continent University. Officials at the university, located in Mayfield, formally announced Monday that Bennett had submitted his resignation, effective June 30.

Bennett coached at Mid-Continent for six seasons, compiling a record of 91 wins and 103 losses. University officials credit Bennett for taking the school's basketball program to a higher level.
