Scott Brown handles most of the sports duties for Ham Broadcasting. In addition to providing daily sports news on this blog, he broadcasts high school football, basketball and baseball games on WKDZ and WHVO. He also hosts the Saturday Morning Sports Report on WKDZ - one of the few local sports programs in the area. His local sports has been the most read in Trigg County for several years.

Trigg Golfers Claim Dawson Springs Title

Trigg County beat Graves County in a one-hole shootout to claim the Dawson Springs Golf Invitational Sunday at Pennyrile Forest State Park.

Trigg's Nick Choate took medalist honors for the third straight match, firing a 2-under-70 - which was two shots better than Graves County's Hayden Cash.

Cole Gardner shot a 74 to finish in a tie for fifth place.  Carter Sholar also finished in the top 15 with a 79, while Kullen Garner shot an 80, and Jackson Vinson shot an 81.

Trigg's team total of 303 bettered 16 other teams in the event.  UHA shot a 337 to finish in 8th place, Christian County was 16th, and Fort Campbell 17th.

Dalton Putty led UHA with an 81, while Tadd Switzer shot an 82.

Grainger Greenwell was Christian County's top golfer with a 79.
