Henderson County Looks North for New Football Coach

Henderson County has look across the river for their new football coach. Tony Lewis, who has coached at Evansville Reitz for the past five years, was 53-11 as head coach and led Reitz to the 2009 Indiana state championship.  Lewis also won two region titles and three sectional titles at Reitz.

Lewis takes over for Clay Clevenger, who was 45-27 in six seasons at Henderson County before taking the Danville head coaching job.

The Henderson County opening attracted several interesting applicants from across the state, with the school holding a second round of interviews before hiring Lewis.

Henderson County was 9-3 last year and lost to Eastern in the second round of the playoffs.
