Hoptown Moves Into First Place With 6-5 Win at Dubois County

Brad Sevenish hit a sacrifice fly in the tenth inning to back another strong pitching performance from Riley Sanderson as the Hoptown Hoppers beat Dubois County 6-5 and moved into first place in the Ohio Valley League standings.

Mason Colquitt had three hits, including two doubles, as the Hoppers rapped out nine hits in the contest.  Ryne Long pitched the final two innings to get the win.

The Hoppers moved to 2-1 in extra inning games this year.

With Marion beating Madisonville 7-6 Wednesday, the Hoppers move into first place a half game ahead of idle Owensboro and a game ahead of Madisonville.

The Hoppers will host Dubois County tonight at 7:05 at Tiger Stadium.  It's Cub Scout night at the ballpark -- any scout in uniform gets in for free.  There will be a scout parade with scouts remaining on the field to sing the National Anthem.  Kids  will also get to run the bases after the game.

You can hear the Chick-Fil-A Tailgate Show from the ballpark tonight at 6pm on Oldies Radio 96.5 FM and 100.9 FM
