Three Prisoners Injured In Friday Dawson Springs Road Wreck

Three prisoners were injured when a transport bus ran off into a ditch on Dawson Springs Road Friday afternoon. The Christian County Sheriff's Office reports the wreck occurred between Consolation Loop and Mount Carmel Camp Creek Road around 4:30 Friday afternoon.

Deputies say the driver of the Prison Transport Bus out of Nashville, 57-year old Kenneth Foggs of Winter Springs, Florida, was traveling northbound on snowy unplowed roads when the vehicle drifted off the right side of the road and came to rest against an earth embankment, blocking the side doors. Deputies indicate two passengers had to be extricated by mechanical means.

The report says three prisoners, 30-year old Joshua Thomas, 51-year old John Razor and 25-year old Lister Lemons, all of Hopkinsville, were transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with complaints of injuries. The driver and 44-year old Carrie Eskelund of Zepher Hills, Florida, were uninjured in the crash.
