Police Conducting Death Investigation Of Marion Couple

State police are conducting a death investigation after the bodies of a Crittenden County couple were found in a creek Sunday. Kentucky State Police say they were called to the scene by the Crittenden County Sheriff's Office around 6:12 Sunday night to investigate a vehicle crash on Fords Ferry Road, about two miles north of Marion. The Crittenden County Fire Department found the car partially submerged in Crooked Creek with the passenger's door open; however, no one was located inside.

Prior to the arrival of troopers, police say the fire department found two deceased subjects approximately 300 yards downstream of the vehicle. The victims were identified as 86-year old Douglas Keeling and 82-year old Martha Keeling, both of Marion. Autopsies are scheduled for Monday at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Madisonville. State Police add foul play is not suspected.
