Main Road Conditions Improving, Secondary Roads Slick

After a slick and hazardous morning, roads are starting to show a little improvement. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd says the sunshine is helping improve road conditions.

He adds it is still going to be a long hard day for road crews salting and plowing.

Todd went on to say crews worked on main routes Monday night and some morning traffic it has also helped improve conditions, but they are asking people to stay off the roads if possible.

Trigg County Emergency Management Director David Bryant says crews are making progress on the main roads.

However, he indicates secondary roads are still problematic.

Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham says secondary roads are still hazardous and there will not be much improvement.

If you do not have to be out, Graham says please stay at home and give road crews room to work and get the roads as clear as they can.
