Flood Watch In Effect Through Wednesday Night

A Flood Watch is in effect from 9:00pm Tuesday through late Wednesday night for western Kentucky. The National Weather Service in Paducah says our region will see multiple rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall that will lead to some minor localized flooding. Meteorologists indicate the primary flooding concern will be along small streams and creeks that feed into already swollen rivers across the region. This will especially hold true in area that receive multiple rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for Flood Warnings. Those living in flood prone areas should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
