Crittenden Student Charged With Making Threat

A Crittenden County student has been charged after he allegedly made threats. Kentucky State Police report they were contacted shortly after 3:00 Thursday afternoon by the Marion Police Department regarding a threat of a school shooting at the Crittenden County Middle School.

State Police responded to the school where a third party student told troopers he overheard a male juvenile telling another juvenile he was going to kill everyone in the school. Police say the juvenile who made the threatening statement admitted he said if he was going to kill anyone, it would be the other juvenile. He reportedly denied stating he was going to kill everyone in the school.

The juvenile who made the threatening statement was charged with 3rd Degree Terroristic Threatening, and Persons Danger to Self/Others. Police say he was taken to the Pennyroyal Center for a mental evaluation.
